Denver, CO â Today, more than 130 leaders from every corner of Colorado endorsed Michael Bennet for Colorado governor. From the West Slope to the Front Range to the Eastern Plains, this diverse coalition includes elected officials, faith leaders, small business owners, and nonprofit executives. Among them are three speakers of the Colorado House of Representatives, three Colorado Senate Presidents, 24 county commissioners, 19 mayors, and one former Denver Broncos quarterback. Â
âIâm honored to have the support of so many dedicated Coloradans. Weâre united in the belief that Colorado is the best state in America, not just because of what we have, but because of who we are,â said Michael. âTogether, we can make it even better by building an economy that works for everyone and a democracy that belongs to all of us. Washingtonâs dysfunction wonât solve our biggest challengesâwe will. Right here in Colorado, we can lead the way to the future and show the country what leadership looks like by solving problems, not playing politics as usual.â
Michael launched his gubernatorial campaign two months ago with the support of U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper, Congressman Joe Neguse (CO-02), Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06), Denver Mayor Mike Johnston, former Denver Mayor Wellington Webb, former State Representative Wilma Webb, former Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, Colorado Senate President James Coleman, and Speaker of the Colorado House of Representatives Julie McCluskie. Since launch, more than 130 leaders and 5,000 grassroots donors have joined Michaelâs campaign.
