Bennet Campaign Will Gain Ballot Access Via Petition
DENVER, CO — Today, gubernatorial candidate Michael Bennet submitted over 17,000 signatures from Coloradans across all eight congressional districts, well above the requirement of 1,500 valid signatures per district to qualify for the June primary ballot.
“I’m honored to have earned the support of over 17,000 Coloradans to access the ballot for the June Primary,” said Michael. “I’m incredibly grateful to every person who volunteered their time, every supporter who signed a petition, and every voter who took a moment to talk with us about the future of this state. As we move towards Election Day, I look forward to continuing to travel across our state to meet voters in their communities and share my vision for a better Colorado.”
Given the outpouring of support from voters through the petition process, the Bennet for Governor campaign plans to access the ballot via petition.
Michael is running for Governor to protect Colorado from Donald Trump’s chaos and build an economy that works for working families – and that starts with meeting voters all across Colorado to build a broad coalition of support that includes Democrats, unaffiliated voters, Republicans, rural and urban Coloradans, young people, working families, and more. Michael will continue to travel to every corner of the state to discuss his vision for a stronger, more affordable Colorado.
The Secretary of State will review the petitions, and once verified, Michael’s name will appear on the June primary ballot.
