DENVER, CO — Today, after submitting more than 17,000 signatures from Coloradans across all eight congressional districts last month, the Colorado Secretary of State confirmed that Michael Bennet successfully petitioned onto the ballot, making him the first gubernatorial candidate to officially be certified for the June primary.
“This campaign is built by thousands of grassroots supporters across Colorado who share our vision for a better Colorado that takes on the Trump Administration and builds an economy that works for working people,” said Michael. “I’m grateful for all the Coloradans who have signed a petition, volunteered their time, and fueled this campaign. With Election Day fast approaching, I look forward to continuing to travel across Colorado and earn the support of voters in every corner of our state.”
Since launching his campaign last April, Michael has continued to lead the field, outraising his opponent with more than 91% of donations under $100 and a lower average donation, leading his opponent by 27 points in the most recent polling, and earning endorsements from more than 200 Coloradans in every corner of the state. Michael is also the only candidate with the support of major labor unions, underscoring his commitment to delivering for working Coloradans as governor.
Over the last few months, Michael has traveled across Colorado on his Our Colorado Tour with more than 200 events to meet voters where they are, including a focus on young Coloradans who are looking to the next Governor to build a Colorado where they can thrive.
Next week, Michael will continue his Our Colorado Tour with campaign events in Colorado Springs, Boulder, Denver, Gunnison, Salida, Alamosa, and more.
