DENVER, CO— In case you missed it, on Monday, the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association (CTLA) endorsed Michael Bennet for Governor of Colorado. The CTLA Board of Directors voted unanimously to endorse Michael, pointing to his steadfast commitment to protecting Coloradans’ rights and ensuring fair access to the justice system.
“I’m honored to have the support of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. CTLA’s members work every day to defend the principle of equal justice under the law. As governor, I will work every day to protect Coloradans’ rights, strengthen our courts, and make sure justice is accessible to everyone — not just the powerful,” said Michael Bennet.
“Michael Bennet is dedicated to fairness, accountability, and the rule of law,” said Jason Wesoky, President of CTLA. “He consistently advocates for the rights of real people and working families who often feel powerless in the face of special interests. With Bennet as governor, Coloradans can trust that their freedoms will be safeguarded and our civil justice system will remain strong. His leadership, integrity, and commitment to justice make him the champion our state deserves.”
Michael is a steadfast champion of democracy and the justice system. Michael worked to quickly fill Colorado’s federal judicial vacancies with qualified, diverse, and historic nominees. In four years, the Senate confirmed six Colorado judicial nominees to the District Court of Colorado and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals with bipartisan votes. Michael has strengthened our courts and shown his commitment to building a justice system that is truly representative of — and accessible to — all Coloradans.
“At CTLA, we fight every day to ensure that individuals are able to hold powerful interests accountable,” said Julie Whitacre, CTLA’s Executive Director. “Michael Bennet’s vision for Colorado aligns with our mission of protecting people and preserving justice. He will always stand by Coloradans to make sure their voices are heard.”
CTLA represents more than 1,200 attorneys across the state who advocate for fairness and accountability in the civil justice system.
