DENVER, CO — This week, YIMBY Denver, YIMBY Fort Collins, YIMBY Arvada, and YIMBY North Metro, endorsed Michael Bennet for Governor of Colorado, citing his urgent, bold vision to solve the state’s housing crisis.

Michael Bennet has centered his campaign on building more homes, welcoming more neighbors, and standing up to the status quo that has pushed too many young people, families, workers, and seniors out of the communities they love. He knows that we can’t afford to have any community sit on the sidelines,” the YIMBY chapters said in their endorsement.
Michael is the only candidate running for Governor with a clear goal to ensure no Coloradan spends more than 30% of their income on housing. As Governor, he has a plan to build more starter homes, streamline permitting, cut unnecessary red tape, and hold private equity and corporate landlords accountable for driving up costs.
