87% of Contributions This Quarter Were $100 or Less
DENVER, CO — Today, Michael Bennet’s campaign for Colorado Governor announced it raised more than $946,000 in the second reporting period of his campaign, building upon the record-breaking success of his first quarter in the race and bringing in more than $2.6 million in the first six months of his campaign.
Since launching the campaign in April, nearly 7,000 Coloradans across 62 counties have thrown their support behind Michael, with more than two-thirds of donations this quarter from Coloradans. Michael does not accept donations from federal lobbyists or corporate PACs, and with 87% of contributions this quarter totaling $100 or less, small-dollar donors are fueling Michael’s campaign.
“We’re honored to have the support of hardworking Coloradans from every corner of the state,” said Bennet for Governor Campaign Manager Ben Waldon. “Michael has been fighting for Colorado his entire career – cutting child poverty in half, protecting our public lands, and standing up against Donald Trump’s destructive agenda. Coloradans know that Michael is the only candidate in this race who has a bold vision to make Colorado more affordable, protect our democracy, and build a brighter future for all of us.”
In addition to the more than 11,000 supporters who are fueling this campaign, Michael has now been endorsed by more than 180 Colorado leaders, including Senator John Hickenlooper, Congressman Joe Neguse (CO-2), Congressman Jason Crow (CO-6), Congresswoman Brittany Pettersen (CO-7), 22 state legislators, 15 mayors, and dozens of elected officials and community leaders across the state.
